How do you identify your style?
We are very careful to shoot the event from YOUR eyes. All the "artistry" in the world cannot make up for poor quality or poor shot selection. During our consultation, we find out what vision you have for the finished production. At DISTINCTIVE Multi-Media, we start with the end in mind.

 

Describe any special editing services you offer:
We can visually "scrub" old video footage and photos! Many times, we are asked to pur together a "before we were married" DVD SlideShow Video to pay during the reception. Clients will send their photos, video clips, etc. to us prior to their event. What a SUPER GIFT to give to friends and family that attend!

 

Do you reserve the right to use a video in the future for promotions, contests, etc.?

Yes, unless specifically agreed upon in the production agreement.

 

 

Is the bride involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the bride have in editing?


Editing involves a two step process... first edit is major cuts of legnth, and shot selection. Bride and Groom are show the cut footage before we produce in the finished DVD and add all post-video work. Consultation includes another production agreement that outlines the music selections, style, and "feel" of the finished DVD. Once the post-video is completed, the Bride and Groom get an final edit consultaion with the representative before the finished production is completed and copies are made and distributed to the clients and their designated friends and family mailer.

 

 

What's the cost ?
You determine your cost! Different huh?! Instead of offering you limited “packages”, we offer you UNLIMITED choices! Visit our PRICING Tab on the home page of our site to get an idea of costs for including different options to your montage.  Example pricing will show options you may want to choose for your project and demonstrate just how affordable DISTINCTIVE can be!  After you get an idea about how we can fit your budget, visit the GET STARTED tab on the site.  Choose the options you would like to include in your DISTINCTIVE project, and the price will be displayed when you click the "TOTAL price so far?" tab on the menu.  How's that for keeping on budget?  We know that you will be pleased with our pricing and ability to CUSTOM design your project on any budget.

 

How long does it take ?
We can normally ship your order within one week of receiving your photos/videos. Expedited service is available; Inquire by calling and speaking with one of our support associates about your individual need.

Can I use my own music ?
Absolutely! At the time that your order is being processed in the check-out, it will ask for the title and artist you would like to use in your production. Enter your selection at that time. For multiple Artists/Titles, please submit by visiting the Get Started tab on our site, go to the menu and select "CONTACT US" to request the SONG TITLES CAPTURE FORM.  Include your chosen artist, and song title when placing your order and we will take care of the rest! If you are an artist and would like your personal, non-published music used, simply call our support associates and share your goal… we will make it happen!

How do I get the pictures I would like to use to you?
We have these 3 convienant ways for you to send your selected photos to us!

1. Upload them from your computer to WalMart online FREE software and send them quickly & securely to us.  CLick on the Send Us Your Photos button the the main page to learn more!

2. Email them to us- Send your photos to sales@distinctivemultimedia.com an include:
Name on the order
Contact phone number for us to reach you
Brief description of the goal for your project.

3. Scan them at your nearest WalMart, make a disc of the photos and mail the disc to us!  LEARN MORE by clicking the SEND US YOUR PHOTOS button on our main page.

How long are the Photo and Video Montages?
We have many options available for you! When you visit our GET STARTED page you can choose the run time of your montage. Remember that much of the length of time that your project play depends on the amount of the material included in the project. “The more you send the more you have to enjoy!”

 

What are my payment options ?
Payment can be arranged by contacting us immediately following printing of your confirmation of your order online. You can also directly transfer money from your PayPal account to our PayPal account as form of payment. Simply transfer money from your checking account into your PayPal account and transfer to us! Once your payment has been confirmed (usually a few business days) your order will be marked PAID and production will start on your project.



What if I would like to make changes or edits to the finished montage?
Here's the Bottom Line: We GUARANTEE your satisfaction. We will perform up to 2 private edit sessions with you to discuss changes and agree on a timeframe for changes to occur and re-delivery of the revised montage. If you are still not satisfied after 2 edit sessions we will refund your purchase price with no questions asked. We have never had to issue a refund in MANY years of production. Our commitment to excellence is what allows us to offer such a guarantee.


When do I pay for my order ?
We will Email an invoice within 24 hours of receiving your order. Payment must be received within 3 business days of e-mail confirmation the original receipt of your order unless approved by our sales associates prior to purchase. Should payment not be received, we will make every effort to contact you prior to placing your order on "suspended" status pending paymet. No work will be done on your order prior to payment. Should payment or contact not be made within 30 days of initial sending of your invoice, your order will be terminated; ending in discarding all materials submitted to us either digital or physical. Do I get something in writing like a contract to show the scope of work, date, etc. of my event?

Distinctive Multi Media provides a complete written Production Agreement with each and every project we schedule. Your Production Agreement will include all the details of the services you have arranged for Distinctive Multi Media to provide, dates of scheduled events or mile-marks in your project, cost, etc.

What are some of the reasons for pricing variations among similar projects we have scheduled?

All of our projects regardless of the services we are providing are quoted at the time of inquiry. Several key considerations are incorporated into each and every quote we provide to both our existing customers as well as customers new to Distinctive. Schedule, delivery lead times, complexity/creativity, availability, location, past projects/relationship, referral/partner relationships or affiliations, etc. are just some of the variables taken into consideration when quoting a project.

Do you film in HD? Is HD available?

All video-related projects will be considered acceptable to be filmed in NTSC 16:9 HQ format unless otherwise agreed. HD filming format is available on a project by project basis for an additional charge to be determined and included in the written quote for the project. Please specify that you would like your video project to be filmed in HD format to obtain correct pricing.

What budget flexibility do you have for non-profit organizations and charities?

Distinctive Multi Media is proud of it’s affiliation with many non-profit organizations and charities. We historically have offered significant discounts in our published rates for organizations on a CASE BY CASE basis upon review of your organizational goals. To submit your non-profit for review for qualification for preferred pricing on services we offer please send a detailed email to
support@distinctivemultimedia.com Please allow several days for review; as additional considerations are taken into account when deciding discounted rates for non-profits.

What are the benefits of referring a friend, relative, business colleague, etc.? How to I make the referral?

Our refer-A-friend program is second to none! By referring a “friend” you can earn free services for yourself, business, or organization you are affiliated with (church for example). Simply contact us using our Contact Us page on our website via phone or email with the name and contact information of your referral. That’s it! Distinctive Multi Media will do the rest! Once we have contacted your referral,
successfully scheduled their project and received their deposit, your FREE service(s) can be discussed and/or scheduled. NOTE: your FREE services have to be scheduled after the completion and payment of the referral project, and the FREE billing for your services is dependent on successful project completion and payment for services rendered on the part of your referral. NONE of our services are void from this offer, so send the referrals today!

How does the process work for scheduling a project with Distinctive Multi Media?

Once you have consulted with one of our Project Manager’s, our support division will send you a written Production Agreement outlining all the services that were discussed in your consultation. Be sure that the Production Agreement is complete and contains all services you are requesting.

Contact our office to pay your required deposit amount to confirm your project is scheduled. Receipt of your required deposit for your project will serve to confirm that there are no other services included in the project and that you are satisfied and in agreement with the terms outlined in the Production Agreement. You will receive email confirmation of your payment unless otherwise agreed.

After the conclusion of your project and the complete fulfillment of your Production Agreement, final payment for services rendered is due upon receipt of your invoice. Contact our office to make final payment arrangements. Understand that in many cases, your final media will not be sent/delivered/ made available to you until final payment is received and cleared our established payment guidelines.

What are your payment methods you accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit cards. In addition to credit cards, we accept both personal and business checks. ALL checks will be delayed for 10 business days while clearing your bank. Deposits, final payments, etc. will not be considered “paid” until after this 10 day clearing time period. Cash is accepted with a written receipt issued at the time of acceptance.
